John Sikes

Stratton Mountain Resort has been a special place for my family since it first opened. My grandfather was an original stockholder, and I learned to ski at Stratton Mountain’s first ski school.

My career at Stratton Mountain Resort started in 1981 in the First Run ski shop. Many of the good people I met then are still around. After a brief stint in the mutual fund industry in California, I moved back to Stratton Mountain full-time in 1984. I have been at Stratton Real Estate (now Playground Real Estate) ever since.

My wife, Mary, and I live in Londonderry. We have two sons, Johnny and Ben, as well as a daughter, Kitt. All are avid skiers, tennis players, and swimmers with a great love and appreciation for the Vermont outdoors.
